Danny asked:
OKay I have been thinking this a lot. I realy want to move to California because I just can not stand the weather and the way people live here. People are like robots and the weather is so cold in the winter and so humid and hot in the summer. This is why I want to move.
I am graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in Accounting. I have no related job experience.. ONly experience i have is working for my uncle at his Domino’s Pizza… I was thinking of moving probably 1 or 2 months after I graduate this May. However i still dont know exactly how to plan this and i need some help..
–Where to move.. i like the city.. somewhere were there is a lot of people but not too dangerous?
–How to find a job when i get there?
–How much should i expect to pay for housing?
– i have a new car, how to take it to cali?
– how to bring all my things?
– How hard is it for an accountant?
– How much for auto insurance
– you guys think i should move, now that you know what i **** about jersey?
– comment please this will change my life..

Prepare to pay dearly for everything out there. If you have the means, fly out there to do some scouting before you move. The Los Angeles metro area may be your best bet for employment, but I hear that San Diego may yet have some signs of life in it as well. You could drive to California. Plan on a week or two, depending upon if you want to make side trips along the way. Get a U-Haul truck for your belongings, depending upon how much stuff you have. Or, you may want to consider having a yard sale before you go, to raise money for the trip. Be aware that California has tougher pollution control laws for cars than the rest of the country, so you should check under the hood of the car. If there’s a sticker which says something like “Certified to California emissions standards,” you should be okay. Otherwise, sell it when you get there, Good luck with it.
